Sainsbury’s Freefrom Sticky Toffee Pudding and Alpro Custard!

by Laura

Firstly, sorry for not posting for a while, I’ve been on a pre-holiday health kick so baking and exploring new sweet treats has been kept to a minimum! However, Sunday is fun day, and this little pot of sticky toffee pudding was staring at me from the cupboard so I crumbled and chucked it in the microwave, as well as some Alpro custard.

I have to say, whilst it may not be the most photogenic pudding in the world, this is delicious! It is very sickly, I managed half before I was about to burst, but I am unsure if this is because I’m more of a savoury gal, I could eat chips and crisps until the cows come home! The custard took away some of the sweetness- I don’t think I could have eaten this without the custard.
The custard I would especially recommend, it is a great substitute and -with regards to my bikini body- is remarkably low calorie for a custard, which is presumably because it has no milk in it to add fat.
The pots of sticky toffee pudding are sold in Sainsbury’s, I would say, unless you have a particularly sweet tooth, it might be best to have one between two, though the sponge, and the treacle are both very tasty, the sponge being firm but not chewy, coupled with the sweet sticky sauce really make a yummy and easy pudding!
