Ingredients:
♥ 100g Dairy Free butter (I prefer Pure)
♥ 100g Caster sugar
♥ 1 Medium egg
♥ 275g Plain flour
♥ 1 tsp vanilla extract
♥ Strawberry Jam
Method for cookies
♥ Preheat your oven to 190°C and line your baking tray with grease proof paper (so your biscuit doesn’t stick!)
♥ Cream together your butter alternative and sugar
♥ Beat in your egg
♥ Drop in your vanilla extracted stir together
♥ Add in the flour and mix until it forms a dough
♥ Roll out on a floured surface
♥ Cut out with your heart cookie cutters
♥ Bake for 8-12 minutes and place on a wire rack to cool
Method for decoration
♥ Roll our your fondant icing, and cut it out with a smaller heart cutter than you cut your biscuit out with
♥ Taking your stamp set, decide what message you want on your cookie, and fit your letters together
♥ Stamp these messages on your icing
♥ Decorate with your icing however you like
♥ Taking your cookie, spread your jam on the centre of it, lay the white icing section on top of your biscuit! If you don’t like jam, you’ll still need something to stick the icing to the biscuit with.
I love these message stamps from LakeLand, they’re great for any occasion as you can write whatever message you like which saves the pennies instead of you buying individual stamps for every occasion- I’m sure my friends and family will love some individualised messages on their birthday treats!
I also love that the messages are in straight lines because the letters slot together!
